Ever since Epic Universe opened, one thing has felt slightly missing.
Not the attractions.
Not the lands.
Not the food.
But the ending.
Because while Celestial Park transforms after dark, many guests have been left wondering whether Epic Universe would eventually get the sort of nighttime spectacular that helps bring the day to a close.
Now Universal has officially answered that question.
Beginning 7 July, guests will be able to experience Universal Celestial Goodnight, a brand-new nighttime spectacular featuring fireworks, dancing fountains and an original musical score.
And honestly, this feels like something Epic Universe always deserved.
What Is Universal Celestial Goodnight?

According to Universal, the new show will debut on 7 July and take place within Celestial Park at Epic Universe.
The nighttime experience will combine:
Fireworks
Dancing fountains
Music
Lighting effects
The stunning backdrop of Celestial Park itself
Universal describes the experience as a glittering finale designed to bring the day to a memorable close.
Why This Matters
Since Epic Universe opened, many visitors have commented that the park almost seemed built for nighttime.
The illuminated fountains.
The glowing gardens.
Stardust Racers racing through the darkness.
And, of course, the seven million programmable lights spread throughout Celestial Park.
But despite all that, there wasn’t a true “goodnight moment” to end the day.
Universal Celestial Goodnight changes that.
And in many ways, it feels like the missing piece of the puzzle.
Epic Universe Looks Completely Different After Dark
Anyone who has spent time in Celestial Park after sunset will know that the atmosphere changes dramatically.
The park takes on an entirely different feel.
Lighting effects reflect across the water.
The fountains become part of the scenery.
And the whole area starts to feel more like a destination rather than simply a pathway between portals.
Adding a dedicated nighttime spectacular feels like a natural next step.
A Bigger Reason to Stay Until Park Close
This announcement could also change how people plan their Epic Universe days.
Rather than leaving early to beat traffic or return to their hotel, guests now have another reason to slow down and enjoy the atmosphere after dark.
And that’s particularly good news because some of Epic Universe’s most impressive views only really come alive once the sun goes down.
Looking Ahead
Universal Celestial Goodnight officially premieres on 7 July, adding another layer to what is already one of the most ambitious theme parks ever built.
And while Epic Universe has already impressed guests during the day, this new show might finally give the park the ending many visitors felt was missing.
Because every great theme park deserves a proper way to say goodnight.
